Meh, nothing new that I hadn't heard before in that article there. Just a reminder that, while most people (on Twitter, etc.) express their sympathy for black male performers in the porn industry, it's actually black female performers who have it the worst.

"Have it the worst" It's not a competition to point who is most adversely affected by racial discrimination The point of the article is that racial discrimination is rife in the industry as there is a disparity in earnings potential and career opportunities based on the colour of one's skin and privileges that are often afforded only to white performers.
Maybe you read a difficult article but that article did point out that black women often get a shitty deal in the industry as they can't earn extra by having sex with white male performers for example because it's not regarded as IR in the industry. Likewise, the article pointed out Misty Stone earned significantly less starting out than her white female counterparts at the time though I hope she was talking about earnings for the same levels as neither she nor Aurora Snow clarified that in the article.

Nothing that hasn't been said before.The thing that bothers me is nothing been said about the way Some Black Females come into the industry and won't work with Black males.And there's some Black Males who don't work with Black Females.

First of all, I think it's clear that black performers both male and female are treated wrongly by the porn industry in general. The systemic racism is clear, as it is in other parts of society. Yes it's not new, but we should keep talking about it in an attempt to create change.
But when it comes to pay for black females specifically, is it all about racism or is some of it just cold business? What I mean is, does the average black girl scene sell as much as the average white girl scene? If it is about the same, then yes, they should obviously be paid the same. But if white girls are, in general, selling more than black girls, then you're asking the producer to pay the same amount but for lesser results. I guess it's a business ethics issue that I don't really have the answer to.

But, is it really racism per se, or just what sells the most? I’m sure the number crunching guys at corporate have detailed spreadsheets on who and what sell best for them and they act accordingly. It’s the porn “industry” with “business” models, not the porn”charity” with “friendship” models. Does it suck for black performers? most likely, but the solution of “just pay everyone the same” is not a viable long term strategy. The only solution possibly would be to book them for more “filler” scenes, I don’t know. But with the current social/cancel climate, i doubt anyone will go on the r3cord about this issue.

Producers and studios sure as shit aren't going to pay black women more to perform with white men so how about they stop paying white women more to perform with black men? That seems like a perfectly good place to start. And with those IR rate savings, those cheap bastards can hire more black women! I think I solved this shit.
